GW15 Preview

Top Captain Picks

1. Mohamed Salah vs Brighton (away) - £9.8 (TSB 51.1%)

Not much needs to be said here. The Egyptian is unstoppable at the moment.

2. Leroy Sané vs West Ham (home) - £8.9 (TSB 25.5%)

Missed out on making the squad against Southampton midweek due to illness, and should return fresh and raring to go against West Ham. Averaging nearly 11 points per game in his last 5 home matches, Sané should be able to tear apart the worst defence in the league, who have conceded 2+ goals in 6 out of their 8 away games this season.

3. Eden Hazard vs Newcastle (home) - £10.7 (TSB 9.3%)

Rested midweek and bang in form, Hazard will start against Newcastle in GW15, and be in with a strong chance of adding to his 4 goals and 1 assist from 4 home starts against the Magpies.

Punt Captain Picks

1. Xherdan Shaqiri vs Swansea (home) - £6.1 (TSB 7.1%)

With a very respectable average of 7 points per game in his last 3 home starts, Shaqiri is in form. The central attacking figure in his side, Shaqiri looks primed to add to his 3 goals and 5 assists already this season, coming up against a Swans outfit who are without an away clean sheet since GW7.

2. Cesc Fàbregas vs Newcastle (home) - £6.9 (TSB 4.9%)

The Spaniard hasn’t been at his FPL best this season, but is slowly hitting his straps, with a pair of assists in GW12. Facing Newcastle at home in GW15, Fàbregas and the Blues should be able to break down a Magpies side who have not kept an away clean sheet since GW4, and have conceded 6 goals in their past 2 away games. Fàbregas is also in good form when playing at home, creating 12 chances in his past 2 games at Stamford Bridge.

3. Aaron Mooy vs Everton (away) - £5.4 (TSB 6.5%)

Expected to be deployed further forward in the number 10 position in GW15. Although he has mainly played in a deep midfield position at Huddersfield, Mooy is a very capable attacking midfielder, netting in his last appearance in that position (GW9 vs Manchester United), and also playing there regularly for Melbourne City, where he netted 11 goals and provided 20+ assists in his final season at the club. Against Everton, who have the 3rdworst home defence in the league, Mooy could find himself amongst the points again in GW15.

GW14 Preview

Top Captain Picks

1. Eden Hazard vs Swansea (home) - £10.7 (TSB 7.9%)

Averaging 9 points per game in the last 5 GWs, Hazard is in top form. In this time, he has managed 9 shots on target, and created a chance every 24.7 minutes. Up against a Swansea side sitting 19thon the Premier League table, expect Hazard to be one of the highest FPL scorers in GW14.

2. Harry Kane vs Leicester (away) - £12.8 (TSB 38.1%)

Everything is pointing towards Harry Kane returning a large haul in GW14. Firstly, in his past 4 away starts, Kane has netted 3 braces and picked up 9 bonus points. Secondly, in Kane’s 5 appearances against the Foxes, he has registered an astonishing 8 goals and 1 assist. Thirdly, this season Leicester have leaked goals when playing the ‘big 6’ teams (Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham), having conceded 13 goals in 5 games.

3. Mohamed Salah vs Stoke (away) - £9.7 (TSB 47.3%)

The Egyptian flyer is unstoppable at the moment. In his last 3 starts, he has netted 5 goals, with 15 shots in this period. It appears that no defence will be able to keep him out.

Punt Captain Picks

1. Danny Welbeck vs Huddersfield (home) - £7.3 (TSB 0.8%)

After a bright start to the season, Welbeck’s momentum was cut short by injury, which ruled him out of 6 GWs. However, he is available to start again, and with Mesut Özil ruled out of GW14, Welbeck looks primed to return to the starting XI against Huddersfield. Promisingly, he has averaged 11 FPL points per home start this season, with a shot frequency of 1 every 24 minutes, and a chance created every 36.5 minutes.

2. Matt Phillips vs Newcastle (home) - £5.6 (TSB 0.7%)

Matt Phillips has definitely not set the world alight this season, having only managed 1 goal and 2 assists in 12 appearances, with a shot frequency of 1 every 59.25 minutes, and a chance created every 71.1 minutes. However, is recent performances have been much better than these stats suggest. In GW12 against Chelsea, he regularly found space out wide and looked very dangerous. He then backed this up with a solid performance in GW13 against Tottenham, where he attempted 12 duels and nearly netted a goal. Up against Newcastle, who have only kept 1 away clean sheet all season, and who Phillips netted against in his last appearance against them, GW14 could be the one where Phillips re-discovers his best form.

3. José Izquierdo vs Crystal Palace (home) - £5.9 (TSB 0.1%)

Despite the outstanding performances of Pascal Groß, Izquierdo has quietly gone about his business recently, with 2 goals in his last 4 starts. In particular, he starred in Brighton’s GW12 win at home to Stoke. In this game, Izquierdo created 1 chance and scored 1 goal from 3 shots, having could easily netted himself a brace. He also attempted 5 duels attempted made 3 crosses. Expected to start after having been rested in GW13, the Colombian will battle Crystal Palace, who have conceded 13 goals in 6 games away from home this season. Furthermore, his pace and role on the left wing bodes well for his appeal, as he will be up against Palace’s right back Joel Ward, who does not possess much speed, and Palace’s right midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is not a natural wide midfielder, and may be caught out of position at times throughout the match.

Score Predictions

BHA 2 (Izquierdo, Murray) | CRY 1 (Milivojevic)

LEI 1 (Mahrez) | TOT 3 (Kane x2, Alli)

WAT 2 (Gray, Doucoure) | MUN 1 (Pogba)

WBA 1 (Rodriguez) | NEW 0

GW13 Preview

Top Captain Picks

1. Leroy Sané vs Huddersfield (away) - £9.0 (TSB 29.1%)

Rested in the Champions League mid-week, and with 19 points in his last 2 away games, expect Sané to return a large haul in GW13.

2. Romelu Lukaku vs Brighton (home) - £11.5 (TSB 48.0%)

Despite a dry spell of 4 games without a goal, Lukaku netted last GW vs Newcastle, which will give him a great deal of confidence. With Ibrahimović now back, Lukaku will be motivated to start banging in the goals if he wants to cement his place at centre-forward.

3. Alexis Sánchez vs Burnley (away) - £11.8 (TSB 2.7%)

After a slow start to the season, Sánchez is re-finding his best FPL form, with 2 goals and 3 assists in his past 6 starts. During this time, he has fired off a shot every 18.3 minutes and created a chance every 26.6 minutes. He also has 4 goals vs Burnley in 5 games.

Punt Captain Picks

1. Sofiane Boufal vs Everton(home) - £5.7 (TSB 0.2%)

He’s yet to set the league alight, but GW13 could be one where Boufal showcases his class. In his past 2 starts, he has managed a solid 2 shots per game. Coming up against a shockingly poor Everton side who have conceded 11 goals in their past 4 league games, as well as 5 against Atalanta in the Europa League mid-week, Boufal should have numerous opportunities to register attacking returns in GW13.

2. Demarai Gray vs West Ham (away) - £5.3 (TSB 1.1%)

The appointment of Claude Puel as manager has seen Demarai Gray receive more game time, starting each of the last 3 games. In this time, he has impressed, netting 1 goal, as well as having 2 shots, creating 4 chances and winning 13 duels. Coming up against West Ham, who have conceded 7 goals in their last 2 home games, and 10 in their last 4 home games, Gray is likely to have chances to score/assist in GW13.

3. Josh King vs Swansea (away) - £7.0 (TSB 1.3%)

Despite Callum Wilson’s hat-trick in GW12, Josh King could be the man in GW13. Despite having blanked in 8/10 games so far this season, King has shown great signs of returning a large haul soon. In his last away game (GW11), he registered 3 shots and created 6 chances, and this was followed up by an assist in GW12. King also has a good history against Swansea, recording 3 goals and 1 assist in his past 4 games against the Swans.

Score Predictions

WHU 2 (Arnautovic, Kouyaté) | LEI 2 (Vardy, D.Gray)

CRY 1 (Zaha) | STK 2 (Choupo-Moting, Shaqiri)

MUN 4 (Lukaku x2, Martial x2) | BHA 0
